Painting Group
We meet in the Library Meeting Room,The Strand, on alternate Mondays 10 am till noon. We usually work in watercolour, but any medium is welcome. Our programme varies from free choice of subject, i.e., from photos, art magazines etc, to projects with a more directed theme such as still life, drawing from life (members being the models - fully clothed!) perspective, or use of colour. The level of ability ranges from comparative beginners to experienced artists and there is a friendly level of mutual support which comes from working with the group. For practical reasons, numbers in this group must be limited, but please enquire if you would like to join.
Painting for Pleasure Group
We meet on alternate Thursdays at 2 pm in the Garden Room at the Friends Meeting House in St. Helens Street.
We are a small teaching group, and new members from beginners to more advanced artists are always welcome .
If you have ever wanted to have a go at drawing or painting with various mediums then come and join us. We have a friendly and enjoyable meeting and we currently have room for several more people to join us.
